This is really Tuesday Post that I am putting together now Monday evening!
I am sure Obama will win in New Hampshire as it is another state that doesn't require you to be a Democrat except on that day only to vote in the Democratic primary. This vote obviously will not reflect a true selection by Democrats but by independents, republicans disaffected with Bush and some Dems. We will not see who the real Democrats want for their nominee until we have a primary in a state that requires party affiliation to vote in the primary. Unfortunately there are fewer of those then I thought and today I was informed that Wisconsin is not one of those. South Carolina is next and Obama is sure to win there,as there is a large black democratic population who had been backing Hillary until Obama won in Iowa and New Hampshire. I also see him winning in Michigan and North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Louisiana, and maybe Florida too as there is a large black population there as well as Cuban and other Hispanics probably going for Obama. The only state I am certain he will not win is New York. I think Hillary will win in Maine and Ct possible Mass, but not Vermont perhaps Rhode Island. From where I am today it looks bad for the Hillary and Edward Dems and I fear for the Democrats in November as well. I hope to be shown wrong and we win in November with whoever even Obama!

Well if Kristols first column in the NY Times is any indication we know who the Republicans want to face in November!
William Kristol's First Sentence As NYT Columnist: "Thank You, Senator Obama"
William Kristol today published his first column as a New York Times op-ed writer. Titled, "President Mike Huckabee?," it begins:
Thank you, Senator Obama. You've defeated Senator Clinton in Iowa. It looks as if you're about to beat her in New Hampshire. There will be no Clinton Restoration. A nation turns its grateful eyes to you.
But gratitude for sparing us a third Clinton term only goes so far. Who, inquiring minds want to know, is going to spare us a first Obama term? After all, for all his ability and charm, Barack Obama is still a liberal Democrat. Some of us would much prefer a non-liberal and non-Democratic administration. We don't want to increase the scope of the nanny state, we don't want to undo the good done by the appointments of John Roberts and Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, and we really don't want to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory in Iraq.
Do they know something we don't or perhaps are afraid to admit.

The problem with having a black candidate is if you don't like him or don't think he can win in November you are accused of being racist! If you prefer a male candidate to a female candidate you are a misogynist it's tough being a white protestant male these days.
Of course the main problem with Obama as nominee is the possiblity of a white back lash not just with Dems in the south but with white Dems in almost any state. Should McCain get the nomination and he may well get it as I am sure he is going to win tomorrow in NewHampshire he may well pull those back lash whites to him. Without Dodd and Biden to siphon Dem votes Hillary has a better chance when Richardson drops out that could help her too. I am supporting Edwards still but if he doesn't do well tomorrow he too will be written off as a potential nominee, unfortunately.( no spell checker on BlogSpot). I also suspect he is siding with Obama in hopes of the second spot on the ticket?
